Mayflight

My secret project for three-and-a-half months, Mayflight is a procedurally-generated platform game (Windows only, unfortunately) with billions of screens, surreal algorithmically produced graphics, and a hectic pace. You could explore it for hundreds of years and still never see all of it.

Game Design Essentials: 20 Non-Computer Games

At last! It took me a long time, but my latest Game Design Essentials article for Gamasutra is finally done and up! This time the focus is on games that don't require a computer to play. The focus of the article is to briefly summarize the games for an audience of computer game designers, but you might enjoy it too. [more inside]

Full Glass, Empty Clip

Three years on and Mefight Club, the not-very-secret-at-all offshoot community of Metafilter that likes to play games together, has decided that a public face a little more engaging than a login form might be a thing that we'd like to have. It's been up for a couple of weeks now, but I'm just getting to the point where I have enough content not to look entirely pathetic. I'd love to know what y'all think - review requests are welcome, too! [more inside]

List of good iPad games

This is a small, highly filtered list of what are, in my opinion, the best iPad games available. I plan to add to the list as I come across the rare new entry for the list. I figure it might be helpful to people to see a short list of reliably good games rather than a ton of variable-quality games spread out over many pages, like most sites do. (I also maintain a list of Web games and iPhone games via the tabs available on the top of the page.)
