Rebel's Nest Political T-shirts
Norway-based t-shirt collective with political prints. Site up in (fully functional) beta version. It's mainly aimed at Norwegians, but most of the t-shirts have an international appeal. I would love to hear what other MeFites think of our site.

In Focus - a new news photo blog
A couple of years ago, I announced right here in the green a new Big Picture blog I was starting up. It did very well - so well that I was able to make this into a fulltime job with the Atlantic Magazine, and I'm really happy to announce that my new blog "In Focus" is live as of today, and I would certainly love it if you stopped by or helped spread the word.

It's the newest site in the burgeoning network of MefightClub websites,ripped off from inspired by Metafilter and fitting somewhere in between our more chatty private forum and the more long-form Full Glass Empty Clip group blog. Markov meets Mulder! Previously, On The X-Files... is a random image generator that uses markov chains to generate random conversations between major characters from The X-Files. The text is all drawn from post-processed transcripts of the show's nine-season run; the code is perl, the images are created using the ImageMagick library.

We have finally launched! WSFtv is the video platform for Brian Greene's World Science Festival. (Built on Expression Engine 2, Dreamhost's VPS and Amazon's S3 and CloudFront services, i'm just now realizing that this is my first all-virtually hosted project.)

I edited and filmed a short film about a strange symptom of my ladyfriend's Multiple Sclerosis. It's entered in the Neurological Film Festival, which has a Fan Voting prize, so if people like it and want to vote for it you can do so here. It's the first thing I've ever shot and edited!

I found a roll of film in 1989 & had it developed today.
In 1989 I found a roll of film in the Huron Mountains area of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I had it developed today. There are pictures of what looks like a helicopter crash, some people, a house, some lupines, a clematis, lots of jets, including what looks like an SR-71 Blackbird, a building, and a battleship.
Maybe you recognize some of the places in the photos? Maybe you recognize some of the people.
The helicopter crash is intriguing, I haven't tried to google it up yet. The Corsair picture is pretty cool too.

Arcade-quality Pac-Man in HTML5
By "arcade-quality", I mean that I captured the graphics and sound from the Pac-Man arcade ROM (via MAME), implemented the original ghost movement strategies, and tried to get the animation as smooth as the original. This implementation includes a high-score board, and can be expanded to accommodate multiple mazes.

POM Wonderful Presents The Greatest Movie Ever Sold
So I've come here a few times to promote films I've produced. I have Morgan Spurlock's POM WONDERFUL PRESENTS THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER SOLD coming out this weekend in theaters across the US. The film has been previously mentioned on MeFi after the premiere at Sundance. It's a documentary about product placement, marketing, and advertising that's funded entirely through product placement, marketing, and advertising. The film is currently sitting at 87% on Rotten Tomatoes, and it's played incredibly well at festivals over the last few months. In the spirit of the film, I'm trying to sell sell sell to get MeFites to see it in theaters this weekend or whenever it comes out in your town.
