Start to Finish, A Metafilter Music Podcast
I've been listening to the songs on Metafilter Music - all the songs! - from the very beginning. On weekday mornings, I'll add a song I like. It's a song of the day podcast. The most popular tags for the music I like so far: electronic, pop, dance, ambient, rock, electronica, synth, techno, instrumental, & indie.

I'm listening to the backlog now. I like your selections, and this is a great, er, filter for people like me who find Music overwhelming.

When I started this, I estimated that I would have caught up to new music right about now. Well. I'm not running out of music any time soon.
The web site has HTML5 players now, which is useful on mobile and browsers without Flash.
You can now play all the songs with a certain tag, such as instrumental. The player's hiding at the bottom left - click on the tab to reveal it. The tags are currently displayed on the pages for individual songs. (I should make them more visible on other pages.)
I've recently started adding favorites to songs that made the podcast, instead of using the original playlist. It's probably easier for the musicians to notice, if more cryptic.
