'The Invasion' as Anti-Fascist film

I wrote about the 2007 flop 'The Invasion' for Vice's Does It Actually Suck? And read it as a newly relevant parable about fascism from outer space.

Nebula One, a cartoon set in space

I've created a fun and hopefully good-looking new animated series set in space. There are three short episodes, and they're all in one video. Ghosts With Shit Jobs

In the future, jobs still suck - but in whole new ways. By 2040, the economy has flipped and North Americans are a cheap labour pool for wealthy Asian markets. A Chinese documentary show focuses on the "ghosts" (Cantonese slang for white people) unlucky enough to have been born into the slums of Toronto in a special report that translates as "Ghosts With Shit Jobs." Decrypting Rita

Is she a robot? A cyborg? An upload? That doesn't matter. What matters is that she's sleek and fast and elegant. Or maybe what matters is the human woman who shares her name and some curious parallels to her life. [more inside]
