For the last few months (and probably for many months more) I've been using vine to make short videos of various entrancing bits from old Doctor Who episodes - including memorable quotes, incredible music, dramatic entrances, utterly terrifying monsters, mystifying machinery, general weirdness, repeated exhortations to obey, charming old computer graphics, horrifying mutations, fist fights, and the just plain odd. House minus dialogue
I cut all of the dialogue out of an episode (S1E11, "Detox") of House M.D. just to see what would be left. Answer: only about 14 minutes of running time, a reasonably coherent storyline thanks to some good blocking and visual direction, a lot of exasperated reaction shots, and a few long uncut segments where wordlessness was the point of the originally-aired sequence. Firefly Chinese (Tumblr)
A friend and I are working through the Josh Whedon TV series Firefly and translating the Chinese phrases in each episode. We post video clips from the show and audio clips of us pronouncing the phrases along with our non-expert analysis of the word usage. We've posted everything from the pilot ("Serenity") and we're now working on episode 2 ("The Train Job"). Hopefully we'll finish up in the next month or so but I figured we mind as well share now as folks all over are already celebrating the show's tenth year anniversary.

Redefining the TV remote
I got fed up with buttons, so I've begun to build a different way to interact with a TV using sensors to sense movement - It's only very basic at the moment, you move your hand to change channel and volume. Bit irritating if you move over the sensor by accident so going to use multiple sensors to allow for more complicated gestures
