I haven't had a chance to read this yet as I'm at work, but I already fully sign on. I also posit, sight unseen, that an older Trudy is "Claudia", the handler of Elizabeth and Philip Jennings in the 80s.

As loathe as I am to break our frenemies pact by saying nice things to you, this is really hilariously awesome and I love it.

I've read it now and I love it, but I must take issue with one point. There is no way that Pete was wearing a tactleneck.

Watch the episode. It's a black ( charcoal?) turtleneck. It's SO STRANGE.

Yeah, every so often on Mad Men the characters make an aesthetic choice that reminds me they are closer to my grandparents' generation than my parents'. Pete wearing a turtleneck, Betty's upholstered housecoat, Peggy installing a drop ceiling... It's a little disturbing.

Also, note that her picture in the pilot is of someone else. Planting misinformation!
