Trailer for Ginevra
I have finished my first project using the multi-plane animation stand I built this Fall. The trailer for the short film Ginevra is now online. Based on Percy Shelley's poem "The Dirge", Ginevra depicts the aftermath of the murder of a young woman. As her distraught mother looks on, she learns that life after death involves a transition she never could have imagined.

I spent the last month here in Viborg (at the Open Workshop animation residency in Denmark), finishing compositing and color correction on the film, and the composer also did some final retouches to the audio track. We will start submitting it to film festivals in a few weeks.
Find more about the film, including the Press Kit, on the Monticello Park Productions website.

If you are interested in the process of making the film, here are some blog posts with behind the scenes pictures and stills.

I love "3D 2D style" animation! Looking forward to accessing the whole thing!

This looks amazing, and I am so curious to see more, the trailer was very atmospheric. The screenshots on your webpage were mouth-watering too (I got a message first that your site was over capacity, maybe check that your host can handle the attention you are getting?). I am hoping to do some of my own papercutting stuff, not animated though, so this was very inspiring!

I never knew I wanted a multi-plane animation stand until now. I wouldn't have the patience though.
