Saving Sasha
I adopted a dog from a dog rescue and tried to teach her to love me or at least come when she's called. And then, because it's 2012, I started a blog about it. And then, because sometimes life is really shitty, I discovered that my brand new doggie is horribly sick.

Mockingbird -- a typewritten poem
"Mockingbird" is a 40-foot-long typewritten double-sided interrupted mobius strip of poetry -- the culmination of 3 and a half years of (intermittent) thinking and typing. Please enjoy it!

The BEWARE! t-shirt collection
I know what you're thinking – the world needs more sarcastic t-shirts like it needs a hole in the head. Nevertheless, here we are. Hope you like 'em! More designs are coming, and I do take requests.

Decrypting Rita
Is she a robot? A cyborg? An upload? That doesn't matter. What matters is that she's sleek and fast and elegant. Or maybe what matters is the human woman who shares her name and some curious parallels to her life.

An Illustrated Field Guide to Our Depressing Nature
A webcomic in which wildlife is ascribed various neuroses, unpleasant personality traits, and other assorted character flaws, presented in (loosely) the manner of a nature guide. Think Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom meets Eeyore. Updated weekly.

Offbeat webcomic
I've been doing this for the past few months to entertain myself and possibly some of the people I work with. I don't know for sure, they may be fake laughing. I thought I'd open myself up for random abuse from strangers & ask what you guys think.

Tom Dooley: The Full Story
In 1958, The Kingston Trio scored a massive global hit with an 1860s folk song about Tom Dula’s killing of Laura Foster. I’ve just posted a 25,000-word essay on the song describing Tom’s return from the Civil War to his North Carolina home, the many women he slept with there and his role in spreading the syphilis that ultimately led to Laura’s murder. Tom hanged for it in the end, but many still insist he was not the true killer. I also examine the song’s continuing development by artists like Doc Watson, Steve Earle and Greg Brown, and recount my own visit to the story’s key sites in September this year.

Marlowe the Monster
My current pet project is Marlowe, a sculpted webcomic/picturebook. It follows the life of a well meaning, slightly misguided, slightly shy, rather blobby monster with six eyes and two tentacles. Topics covered include asexual reproduction, (monster) civil rights, depression and lesbian sex(all SFW). Updates Wednesdays.

Indian Ephemera
For quite a while I've been scanning and uploading various bits of ephemera collected during my time in India. The bulk of it is matchboxes, but there's also a lot of firework wrappers, educational posters, and miscellany. They are beautiful examples of Indian graphic design: strange and colorful, sometimes unintentionally hilarious, sometimes exquisite, and often based on hand-painted pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Dirty dirty dirty things
Vaguely NSFW, here is my blog, "The Dirtiest Thing in the Whole Wide World," detailing my interest in naughty popular culture, mostly from the middle of the 20th century.

El Boton
"An inch of love for everyone." Limited edition sets of 1" buttons. We're offering one set a month, each with a different theme or designer.

The first set was icons for each of Chicago's train lines. Set #2 is by well-known web designers. The sets come packaged with a series card and an El Boton logo button, which itself is being produced in batches, each batch with a different color combo. Fun little things to decorate your jacket or laptop bag!

Machine Gum - comics by me!
A series of comics and experiments in funny pictures. Machine Gum is an outlet for me to play around in the medium of comics. It's not a webcomic per se since it's not confined to a singular narrative or format; it's more like a playground where I can have fun with the medium and with drawing silly things. Fun for the whole family!

Pysanky!
Ok, it's only easter eggs, but check these out! More here and here. A bunch of us get together to do this every year and it is a blast. This is definitely not PAAS territory.

Doctor Negative's Photography site
New pictures from 2 photo classes I took in the last year in Death Valley and Pt. Reyes. There will be more new stuff coming. Mostly I'm looking for constructive criticism or feedback (or snarky commentary on my apparent inability to operate a camera correctly, whatever).

Weasel Trek
Weasel Trek has shipped fifteen plush weasels to hosts all over the world to be photographed, given a taste of local culture, and then sent on to another who shares the weasel way. It's been a little over a year, and we've gotten some nice pictures back, so I thought I'd share.

The Groucho Marx Name Generator
Strictly doing my part to contribute to the infinite sea of stupid name generators on the Internet, I present the Groucho Marx Name Generator. For all the fans of Otis B. Driftwood and Rufus T. Firefly. Partly inspired by this AskMe thread
