3 Days Later: Jesus Christ Zombie Lord
The folks at DNR Productions and Clay Robeson Creative (that's me) have set out to create the world's first (we hope) Zombie Rock Opera. A song for song parody of Jesus Christ Superstar, 3 Days Later: Jesus Christ Zombie Lord take the "Zombie Jesus" thing to a whole new level. At this point, we've shot a teaser for what we want to produce in order to try to raise some funding to shoot the entire movie this summer. But of course, no studio in their right mind would touch this with a 100 foot pole, so we have to self finance by pan handling on the internets. So go watch the teaser. If you like it, watch the LONG version of the teaser. If we still haven't made you want to hunt us down and kill us, tell your friends, and consider giving us a dollar so we can bring this baby to life.... er back to life?

P/Virt Shared World Wiki
In a recent MetaTalk thread, the assembled MeFites decided, among other things, to take on a "shared world" fiction project, in which a bunch of people would contribute short stories set in a single, near-future, science-fiction world. The actual cat herding and possibly editing duties are being handled by robocop is bleeding, but I'm handling the world-building preliminaries. The upshot? The P/Virt Wiki is up and ready for editing. I've seeded it with my ideas for a world where certain people have the ability to enter Philosophical/Virtual Reality, a place where they can change their surroundings with their mind. For the next two weeks or so, interested people are invited to help flesh out the basics of the world. Once that's done, a bunch of MeFites will be writing stories set in this world. From there, who knows?

World Without Oil
Everyone knows that "someday" the world may face an oil shortage. What if that day were today? How would your life change? On Monday, April 30, ITVS Interactive and Independent Lens launched WORLD WITHOUT OIL, a live interactive month-long alternate reality event to explore this very real possibility. It's a serious game for the public good: "Play it -- before you live it."

Mini Documentary on Wheelchair distribution in Nigeria
I'm just back from a trip to Nigeria where I made a 20 minute film on wheelchair donations by the Demeca Foundation to crippled persons. I followed the back story of a few of the individuals, and how they used the wheelchairs.

Henchman's Helper
This is a thing i was inspired to make by an active desktop item that was floating around a long time ago. The idea is this is the online version of that giant wall that the bad guys in movies, evil scientists, mad doctors etc. stare at when they plot. It's got a sinister feel to it and I am adding new modules each week.

Who Wrote This (MetaFilter) Comment?
NavelgazingFilter: Inspired by this thread, I've made this exciting MeFi-powered game. Given a comment, can you name who wrote it?

New 23rd Century Album
After about a year of diligent work, the new 23rd Century album, entitled "Will The Moon Explode In...The 23rd Century?" is available for free download for your listening pleasure. The link takes you to our site, the left image takes you to the new album, the right image takes you to the first album. If you like 60s influenced pop like XTC and The Apples in Stereo, you should probly check it out.

Defeat the GOP: 11/07/2006
People have mentioned starting a MetaFilter project aimed at rectifying America’s wrongs. The first order of business, as I see it, is making the GOP a minority party again in the next election. Mainly I want to see how many people would like to get involved, share strategies, and ultimately execute real-world objectives. Contact me at: dgop at theblackflag dot org. If we could get at least five or ten people involved, I’ll set up a bulletin board, send out some passwords, and we’ll go from there.

American Walrus Spring 06 Issue
I run the American Walrus Magazine, a submissions-based comics quarterly. This is our first issue, but we're hoping to turn it into a place where anybody with talent and a good story can get their stuff published, whether or not they've ever been published or even drawn comics before. This one's being offered for free online in its entirety. Future issues will probably be online in excerpt form. There's a lot of excellent comics in this issue, but space considerations forced us to shrink it a bit. There's a high resolution pdf on the page for better viewing, though. We operate at a velcro-shoe-fastener budget, so we're also selling ties with cartoon characters on them and t-shirts in an attempt to finance the printing of the summer issue. Highlights of the Spring Issue include:
-Killer School Girl Part One by Rebecca Doyle
-A jaunty Christopher Walken mask by Brandon Bird
-A pulp painting of Hunter Thompson fighting a shark by Steven Fromtling
-Tales of childhood angst by Andy Warner
-The bizarro fantasies of Alexa Rose
-...and more.
The summer issue's coming, too, so if you draw comics, send them our way! Lastly, if you just can't get enough, I also run a comics blog on the main page of the site.
