The worst-quality photo sharing site on the internet - each image is compressed down to 1KB or less. It uses the browser's own JPEG encoder, so results can vary quite a lot (Firefox tends to end up a lot sharper than Chrome, with Safari somewhere in the middle).
Places In Space is an episodic ultra lo-fi, and occasionally experimental, science fiction serial, detailing a voyage of discovery through the solar system and beyond, with new episodes appearing every Monday. Volume One ran for 30 episodes between May and November 2019, and Volume Two started this week, with the 32nd episode, I Remember Andromeda, a short rumination on the slow decay of facts over time. In hopes of supplementing my income while looking for work, I decided to release (via Bandcamp) a collection of recent lofi recordings I've been producing to wile away the stressful lonely hours since my divorce when I'm coping with separation anxiety over my kids and the stress of my recent personal financial crisis. "Lofi Hero" collects one-offs, demos, and various spontaneous rough recordings I captured on my mobile phone while developing songs for a larger studio effort with other collaborators that I hope to be able to release later this year or early next, depending on what the challenges of my financial hardship and other responsibilities permit.
