In 2024 I saw 1,289 movies...
In January of 2021, during Covid, I started logging the many films that I watch. In the 4 years since then, I've seen 4,126 movies and wrote about each and every one. Here is my summery for the year that just ended, and this is where all the reviews are archived. I see about 20-25 movies each week, and post a shortish weekly write-up every Monday. I also include links to the free streamers where I saw them.

Lovely project. I get a lot of satisfaction out of writing my own end of year film summaries, and I liked reading yours. As soon as I figure out how to get at Tumblr RSS feeds I'll be subscribing to your blog.

I'm impressed. People think I watch a lot of movies at about 12 a week but 20 to 25 is next level. And to write a review of each one!

growabrain, this is a fantastic thing. I love reading your summaries, and I love your approach - a sentence is fine, a longer reaction is fine, rate it if you feel like it, whatever. Inspiring and engaging.

This is a wonderful, wonderful project, and I am SO glad to know about it. Thank you so much for posting it to Projects!

(May I recommend the films of Patrick Wang? I loved A Bread Factory and In the Family.)

Thank you!

@kristi, thank you for the referral to Patrick Wang. Never heard of him and his work seems to be something I would love. Actually I found this, which he wrote, and I'll watch it tonight.

(By the way, I've been away from Metafilter for a while, and I forgot how to respond to comments so that the people will be notified. On reddit, f. ex. any direct comment to you gets pinged, but I don't recall if they have it here.)
