Hoopla! comic book reviews
My friend Paul once had a weekly review column at Comic Book Galaxy. Now he's on his own, covering DC, Marvel, Image, Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Joss Whedon, and others. Plus, he's funny.

A web site by guys for guys.
Guy.com is a relatively new male-centric web log/web mag written, in part, by me3dia and kevinskomsvold. We cover sports, tech stuff, style, food and sex.

Washington, DC Transoms
Photographs of the many stained and leaded glass transoms around Washington, DC. I started collecting photos for people to get an idea of the many ways of approaching designing a panel for a transom, then found more and more interesting work all throughout the city.

A Year in Comics
I'm drawing a page of comics once a day for the rest of the year. Most of them so far are autobiographical—things that have happened to me on that particular day. They're somewhat crude, but the quality is guaranteed to improve. They're also viewable as this Flickr set. Comics are usually posted late in the day, because I don't manage my time well.

A life-sized bust of Alan Turing, the father of modern computing, made out of snow.
Albuquerque's seen record snowfall this week, and being snowed in, I decided to make the best of it by creating a life-sized bust of Alan Turing out of snow. Enjoy!

Lenticulations
Lenticulations (also called wobble 3D) are animated autostereoscopic images. The concept has been around for a while, and the web is an ideal medium for sharing and displaying lenticulations. They can be taken with a pair of synchronized cameras, multiple lens cameras, or a single camera on a sliding tripod bracket (other solutions also exist). You don't need headache-inducing glasses or crossed eyes to enjoy the effect. It even works with one eye closed! Previously on MetaFilter. My lenticulations feature full-color, high-resolution images that are more rich than the dithered animated .GIFs many artists use to display their images. Enjoy!

Who Wrote This (MetaFilter) Comment?
NavelgazingFilter: Inspired by this thread, I've made this exciting MeFi-powered game. Given a comment, can you name who wrote it?

Word Replacer
I created this little tool so everyone can replace any word(s) on a given web page. For example, you may want to replace "communist" with "terrorist" or "DRM" with "CRAP" or anything else you can think of! MeFi feedback and samples welcome!

Hundreds of hand-drawn turkeys!
As teaching assistant for a large (700+) class at upenn.edu, I was put in charge of photocopying the midterm. I added "Draw a turkey" to the last page; here are the results. Gobble, gobble!

Two Atriplex albums finally released!
About three years' worth of recordings, mostly along the lines of ambient guitar drone, that I've finally narrowed down and put together into two albums, Drumnia and The Empire Will Fall. Both releases are available for free download, under an Art Libre licence, on Jamendo. Enjoy!

New 23rd Century Album
After about a year of diligent work, the new 23rd Century album, entitled "Will The Moon Explode In...The 23rd Century?" is available for free download for your listening pleasure. The link takes you to our site, the left image takes you to the new album, the right image takes you to the first album. If you like 60s influenced pop like XTC and The Apples in Stereo, you should probly check it out.

Polling mankind to learn friggin' everything.
As if we needed another poll... this is a simple little site to ask simple, stupid, but earth-shatteringly important questions.

radio free #mofirc
This is a small online radio station created by #mofirc (the IRC channel loosely associated with Monkeyfilter; some of us are dual MeFi/MoFi members). We maintain 24/7 uptime and play something for everyone: our DJs broadcast whatever they like! This is our broadcast schedule (we do not fill all the slots in advance, sometimes we broadcast on the fly with whoever is currently available in channel); and you can read more about our station on the MoFi wiki. (We were inspired by Radio MeCha a while back, so, props!)

Cover Browser
Being a comic book fan I created this comic book cover gallery (under fair use context). You'll see comics ranging from alternative to superhero to European, from cool to pulp, and I'll be adding new stuff based on feedback, too. The site has been created using a variety of APIs (some more of the approach is detailed at http://blog.outer-court.com/archive/2006-10-09-n22.html ). Hope you guys like it!

Polyoramas!
Polyoramas (or myrioramas) are illustrated cards that fit together in any order, forming an endless landscape. This is my attempt at making them. I will be adding to this Flickr set all month long (and possibly longer), and soon, they'll be for sale as high-quality mini-cards printed by moo.

Snakes on Film
Some people nitpick movies or TV shows for historical accuracy or continuity. Me, I nitpick 'em for their snakes. Seeing someone scream in terror at a snake that I can immediately identify as a harmless species you can buy at the local pet store for sixty bucks spoils my fun, so I'm spreading the joy. Snakes on a You-Know-What has had its snakes debunked and profiled; I'll do the same for as many other films, movies and short videos as I can track down. For that niche who likes both snakes and movies. (Yeah, him.)

Finally, a web Sudoku site that doesn't suck
Every Sudoku site I've tried is worse than using a piece of paper. So my friend and I created a site that's more fun than pencil and paper, and has a bunch of cool features to boot: Smart Hints (that tell you *why* the next move makes sense so you get better), undo, bookmarking so you can resume a puzzle later or send it to a friend, and a cool UI.

The Harvey Girls Redesign
I've redesigned The Harvey Girls site (if you don't know them, they are our own melissa may and sleepy pete, and they are awesome - go listen on MeFi Music or download some tunes from the music pages!). Please let me know if you see anything funky happening with the layout - and if so, screen shots plus resolution / platform / browser information will be much appreciated. And by the way, if you feel unhappy that you can't leave comments at the site, check back a little later... we have plans to add a wordpress blog in the near future.
