Team Fortress 2: MeFight Club
What could be more fun than blowing up your fellow MeFites with rockets and sticky bombs, or literally knifing them in the back? Nothing, I say! A bunch of us have been playing Team Fortress 2, and I thought a wee forum where we can talk about the game (other than in-game on our server) and plot the eventual domination of Clan [MeFi] would be a Good Thing. So here it is -- if you're into the game or just thinking about picking it up, come join us. All are welcome!

P/Virt Shared World Wiki
In a recent MetaTalk thread, the assembled MeFites decided, among other things, to take on a "shared world" fiction project, in which a bunch of people would contribute short stories set in a single, near-future, science-fiction world. The actual cat herding and possibly editing duties are being handled by robocop is bleeding, but I'm handling the world-building preliminaries. The upshot? The P/Virt Wiki is up and ready for editing. I've seeded it with my ideas for a world where certain people have the ability to enter Philosophical/Virtual Reality, a place where they can change their surroundings with their mind. For the next two weeks or so, interested people are invited to help flesh out the basics of the world. Once that's done, a bunch of MeFites will be writing stories set in this world. From there, who knows?

LOLinator: i can haz websiet?
An advanced, highly scientific tool that gives us a glimpse into an alternate universe where LOLcats created the web. Unsurprisingly, the results are somewhere between MySpace and GeoCities in terms of design sensibilities...

Life in Japan, by Senmaya High School
When I arrived in Japan in July 2005, I was presented with two folders. They were entitled "Life in Japan - a joint project by the students of Senmaya High School". These were put together by my predecessor and the students to help me find my way in Japan. This Flickr set is some of the highlights from these folders, and I will continue to add more as time allows.

What Does That Mean - Idioms Dictionary
This is an updated version of the site - I've added more interactivity, granting users the ability to ask for definitions, and allowing other users to answer them.

No, really, I'm not looking at Metafilter while at work
A userstyle that turns Metafilter into the white-background, black-text, grey-linked, no-siderbar, no-image kind of drabness you associate with the everyday work environment. Great for over-the-shoulder monitor snoopers, poor for over-the-network domain snoopers.

Brad Sucks | Mixter Two: I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Magnatune and I chose our favorite two CDs worth of remixes of songs off my album I Don't Know What I'm Doing from the talented artists on ccMixter.org, the Creative Commons sample/remix/mashup website. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Comically Large Things
Giant foam "we're number one" hands, unwieldy sandwiches, fruit of abnormal proportions, giant novelty checks. Spend some time here and I think you’ll agree … the bigger the item in relation to its perceived de facto “normal” size, the better!

Workplace Confessional.
This site's been a while in the making, and with the advent of Release 2, I'm posting to MeFi. Not that you didn't know that already. I'd compare it to WorseThanFailure and Dilbert, actually, only edited by the community-at-large. On an unrelated note and as far as I'm aware, it's the first tightly-integrated Textpattern/AJAX site out there. Tagline: Because confession is good for the soul. The workplace is not.

SFUMATO
This is a webzine I've created as a platform for writers and nonwriters I know, from which they can share true stories based on a new theme every two months. Three issues so far: "The Dignity of Labor" (current), "Forbidden Love", and "Tales of Revenge".

Watch Paint Dry!
Can I hold your attention for a three minute slideshow while you watch paint dry? (From blank sheet of paper, to finished woodblock print, in 32 stages ...)

I have just finished the first in a new series of woodblock prints based on 'private' natural places I have discovered near my home in Tokyo. Each one takes around two months to make, start to finish. The process of making the one illustrated in that slideshow is documented in a series of postings starting here. It's all pretty slow stuff, but people seem to think it's neat ...

WeNeither
WeNeither is an online dating site that matches people based on shared disinterest. Just launched this into a public beta, being unsatisfied with the way most dating services work. It might be buggy! Feedback appreciated!
