I made a comic about my cancer diagnosis and treatment
Over the years I’ve done a number of comics, mostly autobiographical, and most of them about weird medical things that have happened to me. These included a detached retina, a thyroid cancer scare, and a terrible fall I had. Unfortunately, last December I was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer.

Bummer, eh?

But at least it gave me an opportunity to record my experiences; to make lemonade from the lemons I was handed. I wrote and drew a 60-page comic about being diagnosed and eventually getting radiation treatment. I also wrote about the fears and the uncertainty that comes with being diagnosed, and the long waits between diagnosis and treatment.

I’m very proud of the final product, and I’ve allowed it to be downloaded for free from a prostate cancer forum. Apparently it’s been downloaded over 4200 times.

Details can be found on my comic site, including the link to a free download.
