Beyond the Bathroom
As part of a studio capstone for my master of urban planning program (and in partnership with the non-profit, Hollaback!), six others and I have developed a report entitled "Beyond the Bathroom: gender-inclusive planning for public spaces."

The report highlights the issues facing the LGBTQ community, particularly trans women, in public spaces. When we started the studio nearly a year ago, we never thought we'd be dealing with everything from policing to public transit. But the problems the LGBTQ community is dealing with are, obviously, significant and broad. Our final report attempts to present a roadmap to correcting these problems in NYC and beyond with smarter city policies and design interventions. You can download it at http://genderinc.squarespace.com/the-project/.

I have not read the full report yet, but I commend you and the team for taking on the research and working towards the stated mission. On the Studio Team page, the team's preferred pronouns are listed. Why is that not the case for the faculty advisor?

AugustWest, thanks for your support and good catch! It's likely just an oversight on our part, but I'll talk to the webmaster.
