A Visit to Cementland
Here's an album of photos that I took one day in Cementland. Cementland is an abandoned/unfinished industrial playground/amusment park kind of place (if you're in to that sort of thing).

Yes, what excellent photos, thank you.

On September 26, 2011, Cassilly was killed at the Cementland site after the bulldozer he was driving flipped down a hill.

And what a sad story. How awful.

Those are absolutely beautiful. There's something so haunted about abandoned places.

How neat! I want to visit Cementland, but I'm afraid to go by myself. If you ever get a group together to take photographs there, let me know.

Excellent photos.

BTW, The bulldozer on the left, in the picture titled "Oh, The Huge Manatee!" (with the crooked blade and dented roof) is the machine on which Mr. Cassilly met his demise.

Is that a cement manatee?

I loved the pics! I now have the song Graceland by Paul Simon stuck in my head for some reason.

The aggressive post-processing hurts the photographs more than it improves them, in my opinion.

Nanukthedog - The Manatee is a fiberglass casting.
1970s Antihero - I would agree, but I was there on a very overcast day. The original images are very monotone and low contrast.
