Thanks very much! Yes, it is totally automated (source code here).
I started it running about a month ago, and Twitter pretty much immediately silenced its notifications because it was replying strictly to non-followers. I throttled its output way down in the hopes the Twitter gods would take pity on it... and it looks like they have!

Yeah, when I set it up I didn't realize Twitter had its own easier-to-use image uploading API. I'm going to switch to it.

I love that the medal looks like something my mom would have scrap-booked next to a picture of kid me participating in some sports thing (I did not receive any actual medals for things, just mom-approved participation awards).
Which I hope was intentional! Otherwise this comment would come off as super mean!

At least, that's what I learned from my wife's parents. But sending people pictures of chests is weird, so medals it is. Fun!
