Trolley Problem
A runaway trolley will run over five people. You have a chance to stop the trolley by shoving a fat man in its path. If your first question is not, "is it morally right to do so?" but "how fat does a man need to be to stop a trolley?" this short animation will examine these concerns.

I can tell for certain that I have gone completely sideways because as the nice video guy was calculating the weight the fat man would have to be to stop the train, I was thinking about how the blood and fats would maybe lube up the track, and make the trolley go faster.

You didn't answer the question that has always bugged me: Why doesn't the fat man throw me in front of the trolly?

The fat man's a patsy, a rube! He's in over his head, he's a mark, a square, he was born for the cowcatcher! If you don't throw a trolley at him, someone else will!
