Chicago House Music History
I recently started a series of interviews exploring the history of Chicago house music. Verb worked security at a famous club called The Music Box, where Ron Hardy spun. Merwyn Sanders and his friend Eric Lewis composed some of the most melodic, instrumental tracks. Frank Youngwerth achieved his goal of having a UK dance hit. Leonard "Remix" Rroy set the South Side on fire. Of course there are also a lot of free MP3 mixes from back in the day.

Monkey Preschool Lunchbox: iPhone game for ages 2 to 5
A collection of 5 vaguely educational games about packing lunch for monkeys. We had a slow summer here at our little game company and a couple of us decided to make an iPhone game for our kids. I learned that a 3 year old can be a brutal beta tester. We'd love to hear what MeFites (or I guess more specifically the little ones of MeFites) think of the game!

When I Grow Up, iphone game for little ones
A follow up to our previous preschooler iPhone game. We got some great feedback from MeFi last time, so would love to see how this one goes over. Some thoughts on games for toddlers and some promo codes inside as well.

Jobsee.kr is a new Korea jobs and community site
Jobsee.kr is my entry into the slightly-crowded jobs site space for expats in Korea and people who are interested in coming here. My hope is to provide an evolving set of resources and a grow a community that breaks from the negativity that reigns in much of the K-expat web scene.

Seroquel hits the black market.
I've consistently expressed concerns in mental health threads on Mefi about the frequency with which the anti-psychotic medication Seroquel is prescribed off label for minor disorders like insomnia. Now, the drug is turning up on the streets in Philly.

Why "Balloon Boy" Never Could Have Been
I've written a very short paper which explains the physics behind helium lifting balloons and why nobody should ever have been worried about "Balloon Boy" Falcon Heene.

Awkward Yearbook Signatures
Every year, thousands of things get written in people's yearbooks. Some of them are heartfelt and will stand the test of time. Most of them are not. I decided to start a blog to catalogue the best examples of the latter. So far I've bought yearbooks off of ebay and found good examples from my own yearbooks and friends. But I'm hoping you guys can help me spread the word and submit some of your own so that I can post them more frequently. Submission email address is awkwardyearbooksignatures@gmail.com

This is just to say...
I've been meaning to do this for a while - and have been half intending not to announce it in any way, letting people discover it themselves. But fuck all that, I'm a fame hungry whore and you are my dreadful stage.

DeathPanels.org: The Disturbing Details Behind Health Care Reform!!1!!
I wanted to make something you could e-mail to your crazy uncle to explain why 1) health reform is sorely, sorely needed in the US and 2) "health reform" isn't code for "gas chambers for the elderly." Here's my attempt.

Blog Reverser
Enter the blog reverser. It does what it says on the box, though only for blogspot blogs currently. I can't say how many times I've come across a new blog and wished there were some easy way to read it from beginning to end rather than in Memento-vision. Every time this happened, I would turn to google, thinking "surely other people feel the same way, surely there's a web-app for this." Eventually I just decided, screw it, and wrote my own.
