It's Lovely! I'll Take It!
Sometimes people make bad decisions when they choose the photos for their real estate listings.

The Greatest Sideshow Video Ever Made.
The Greatest Sideshow Video Ever Made was shot at the Moore theater in Seattle in 1992. The oddball cousin of Seattle's grunge music scene, the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow mixed vintage sideshow acts with novel stunts never before seen. Previously available only on VHS tape or DVD, this mind-blowing collection of feats of human daring is now available online in six parts for your viewing pleasure: 1 2 3 4 5 6 As an added bonus, watch as Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam participates.

Find Your French Boyfriend
A French friend of mine was asked how he met his American girlfriend. "On FrenchBoyfriend.com of course!" he replied. I learned that the domain name was available, and...he still doesn't know about this.

Ajax Wikipedia Search
This is a small app with a specific goal - provide a better way to search through Wikipedia. I often go to Google to find Wikipedia pages on a specific topic. Having multiple search results in a sidebar makes it easy to skim through a variety of Wiki pages easily.

The OGs, back in the old neighborhood
Barbara and Harry are a nice Jewish couple, married for 73 years, who've moved back to the old neighborhood, to L.A.'s first retirement community, Hollenbeck Palms. Of course, Boyle Heights has changed a bit since Barbara dubbed it "a Jewish Tijuana," circa 1930! Barbara is a social butterfly and problem solver, Harry is a self-taught Zen master with a yen for science and exploration. We've enjoyed the wit, wisdom and weirdness of our grandparents for our whole lives, and think it's high time the rest of the world got a chance. The OGs blog promises all Barbara and Harry, all the time. Tune in for a daily dose.

Film Addict
In response to one of those stupid Facebook note memes, I've made a page where it's easy to show how you are The Best at watching movies. How many of the top 250 movies have you watched? Why hasn't your co-worker seen The Godfather, what the hell is his problem?

Velociraptor Roulette
After getting a random request with only those two words to go by, I've created a silly, pointless time waster. Spin the wheel for your chance to win a deadly dinosaur. You can't win if you don't play!

School of Hard Knocks.
In 2008 I spent some time working in a special classroom for kids with behavior problems in one of Philadelphia's most notorious public high schools, in one of the city's worst neighborhoods. The experience resulted in an seven part web series that tells in great detail what it's like to be inside room 315.

Look At This Cat!
I made Look At This Cat because I figured there are a lot of cats out there that people should look at. And I don't see why that has to involve like crazy Web 2.0 crap when all you really need is some pictures of cats and the ability to say to yourself "hey, look at that, that is one great cat right there".

Kickstarter, crowdfunding for people who make stuff.
Kickstarter lets creative people -- journalists, artists, musicians, game developers, entrepreneurs, bloggers -- raise money for their projects by connecting directly with their fans, who receive exclusive access and rewards in exchange for their patronage. Set a fundraising goal, deadline, and a set of rewards for backers. If the goal's reached by the deadline, then everyone's charged and backers get their goodies. If not, nobody's charged. Make stuff, without the upfront risk!

tinyarro.ws - Shortest URLs on Earth
Using the magic of Unicode and international domains, TinyArrows provides the shortest URL shrinking possible. All with stats and cute symbol domains and everything. In addition, we just started a pay service where you can roll your own domain as a URL shrinker, too, with pretty easy steps for getting setup.

In SRO Land, lost lore of L.A.'s historic core
The latest time travel blog project from the social historians behind 1947project, On Bunker Hill and Esotouric bus adventures, InSROLand explores the forgotten history of Downtown Los Angeles, up the grand entertainment boulevard of Broadway (where SRO means "Standing Room Only") and down the mean streets of Main (where SRO stands for "Single Room Occupancy," shorthand for a rented room with a sink in the corner, shared toilet down the hall). Between these two poles, straddling the financial center of Spring Street, modern Los Angeles was born.

Biking Rules!
Mefites often (hotly) debate etiquette as it relates to bicyclists, cars and pedestrians. Now everyone has a chance to make their point and win a prize -- NYC's Transportation Alternatives has launched a contest to promote responsibility in the biking community. Submit your video or still-image PSA and you could win $4,000 or a new Kona bike.
