I love movies—and especially movie posters. I have very fond memories as a kid in the 80s seeing new movie posters at my local theater teasing next summer's blockbusters. So I thought it’d be fun to turn an unused TV into a digital movie poster display to help recreate some of that nostalgia at home. I figured out the best way to mount a TV vertically and connect it to a cloud-based library to display my collection of movie posters. I love how it turned out, so I decided to write a guide to help people who might be interested in putting together their own. [more inside]

I started doing daily doodles for my kid and they eventually evolved into sketches and then recently actual drawings and illustrations. A few people have been asking how to buy copies, so I finally put together a shop where you can get a drawing as a poster, sticker, card, and various other stationary items. Probably best described as fun, cute, and sometimes surreal.

I helped make a music video for Winnipeg rapper Employee of the Month. The gimmick for the video is there are gig-posters with the lyrics on them.

I have been designing gig posters, record sleeves, cd covers and other assorted music ephemera since mid-2004. The pieces range from letterpress to offset and silkscreened works. This year I finally got my act together enough to compile nearly all of it into a website featuring nearly a decade's worth of work with new stuff getting produced and added all the time. I had always been interested in the power and intersection of propaganda and graphic design. And World War II was a fertile era for both. So I started to remix old propaganda posters from the era with contemporary messages about the rancor that is prevalent in American political discourse. I have now published 19 of these posters under the moniker of The Chamomile Tea Party. The two most recent posters: Our Latest No Fly Zone and America's 4th Front: War on the Middle Class. Comments always welcomed.

Last year for Valentine's Day I put up posters around my town with just a picture of a heart, and little tags to pull off, with little hearts. This year I have created a website and I hope you will join the project. There is a poster to download and a gallery to upload pictures and comments.

For quite a while I've been scanning and uploading various bits of ephemera collected during my time in India. The bulk of it is matchboxes, but there's also a lot of firework wrappers, educational posters, and miscellany. They are beautiful examples of Indian graphic design: strange and colorful, sometimes unintentionally hilarious, sometimes exquisite, and often based on hand-painted pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
