The Solar System And Almost Everything In It is a hand painted book showing the solar system and almost everything in it, all drawn to two slightly different scales, so that the planets are all scaled to the size of the sun, and the distances are all scaled to the distance of the earth from the sun, and both these are then the exact width of a page. Chris Peters is a classically trained artist based in Los Angeles, with numerous collectors in the music and film industries. To complement his recent exhibition of new paintings at Paul Booth's Last Rites Gallery in New York City, Mr. Peters created this short experimental film "The Soul Never Sleeps". It was designed to evoke the same mood and atmosphere as the other 12 pieces, acting as the exhibition's "13th Painting." The original score was composed for the film by Michael Hebert, an Emmy award winner whose music can be heard in feature films, television and national broadcast commercials. [more inside]

I make artwork about the natural world; my most recent involves watercolor drawings of anole lizards and interactive live plant pedestals. I also have series of roadkill and dodo oil pastel drawings. As a bonus, I uploaded videos of students poking at the plants in the interactive pieces and saying things like, "I think we should light them on fire." And then doing so.
