Reclaim Pride - Stonewall 50 Human Rights and Social Justice March
The Reclaim Pride Coalition (RPC) is a global group of organizations and individuals who are fighting to reclaim the NYC Pride March so that it better represents the LGBTQIATS+ community. Our 2019 March to Commemorate Stonewall's 50th Anniversary and World Pride will be a historic Human Rights and Social Justice march. Yesterday's press release provided key information about the movement and our vision for a 2019 march that lives up to the spirit of Stonewall. We are committed to embracing the strength and diversity of our community, as opposed to corporations, the police, or politicians. [more inside]

AMERICANA : A New Grunge Pop Musical
Radical creative collective Hungry Bitches Productions (who I am super pleased to write for) are currently selling tickets for a three day concert run of our new musical, Americana. It's showing in Theatre Royal Stratford East, London, and to promote the show, we have released a music video (linked above) and a single from the show (on spotify). If you live in London, please have a look and see if you want to come along. If you live elsewhere in the world, please enjoy some cool free music.
Trans, Kink, and Poly-inclusive sex ed
I am a Quaker, and the Quaker magazine Friends Journal asked me to review a book on sex ed by a Quaker teacher, Al Vernacchio's For Goodness Sex. As a radical sex-positive poly person whose nuclear family has a 50/50 trans/cis split, I found Vernacchio's mildly progressive approach inadequate, and said so. Plainly, in keeping with Quaker tradition.
Write your principal to encourage safer schools for LGBTQ teens.
WriteYourPrincipal is a grassroots effort to encourage people to ask their former school principals what their alma maters are doing to end LGBTQ harassment and bullying in their schools. I'm collecting and posting letters that people have been writing to their school principals. From one of my favorites, written by the friend and mentor who came up with this idea in the first place: "Until she knows that . . . her teachers and peers will treat her with dignity and respect, a young person who thinks she might be gay she will feel lonely and scared — no matter how many friends she appears to have. She needs to know she has the support of the adults around them. "
