Post-Gogol World
Daniil Kharms' (discussed here and here) texts (specifically, 8 texts) were translated (into English) and recorded (on analog tape) with improvized jazz (by musicians). The Musicians' Improvized Jazz Analog Tape English Translations of 8 Specific Daniil Kharms Texts was supposedly "too long" and "not great", so we titled the album "Post-Gogol World" instead. It's now available on Bandcamp. Give it a spin! x

Excellent. I'm a big fan of Daniil Kharms, and this is great. Thank you.

I made a few cut-up pieces/remixes with his stories a couple of years ago, which you might like, if you're interested.

Beautiful!! I love it. So nicely done, the music is super and the dialog is, well, Kharms, which is, well, wow. Ten out of ten. Thank you for that.

P.S. Regarding the line "Gogol is so great that you can't write anything about him" – I can only recommend Nabokov's "Gogol".
