Saturday Afternoon Ikea Trip Simulator is a (one joke) text adventure designed to simulate the experience of going to Ikea on a Saturday afternoon (other times of day and/or days of the week are available upon request).

Made in TWINE, so should be playable in any browser.

I got caught in an endless loop where I kept taking the shortcut and ending up at the billy bookcases. Realism: 10/10.

This game reminded me exactly of being in Ikea for better or worse... the only thing missing was that the game has a easy-on-the-eyes black background so it was not QUITE as painful as wandering through a fluorescently lit store. Also, there was not the smell of stale meatballs.

This exactly reflects my experience last weekend, when we finally made it to the canteen and left because it was way too busy, then took a trolley in the warehouse even though we only bought a few tiny things, and finally bought Daim bars before we left.
