Chess Patch Notes
The history of chess rule changes presented as if they were patch notes from a Blizzard game like Overwatch. Seems fitting with the recent AlphaZero work exploring chess variants and the joining of forces between the gaming and chess streamer communities. Some background here.

The New King Ultimate Ability introduced in 1.4.2 caught my eye since I'd never heard of it. But, maybe I missed it, it's not not clear whether that was removed when 1.6 introduced castling, or at a different time.

This is very cute. It might undermine the theme and joke a little, but I'm kind of curious about when these various changes happened. Maybe a popup or more info link would be a nice way to work those in there while still keeping the presentation mostly as it is?

aubilenon, from the background info page it says "Version numbers roughly correspond with the century in which each change was introduced." Beyond that I had to go to Wikipedia and try to figure it out myself. So yeah, footnotes would be great.
