Painting and music: PlanetSaturday on Instagram
I'd love for you guys to have a look at my paintings, and a... listen at?... my singing and guitar playing, all now available on Instagram.

My posts fall into one of three categories:

--digital paintings, often posted as time-lapse videos showing the painting process.

--selections from a bunch of portraits I made of my mom in the late years of her life. She'd had a stroke which left her unable to speak, and drawing and painting her turned out to be a good way for us to sit together without having to struggle too much with other kinds of communication.

--acoustic music, multitracked and, uh, multi-videoed to show all the different vocal and instrumental parts. Kinda like Pomplamoose only with just the bald guy. I'll be posting original music eventually, but I thought I'd warm up with some cover songs first. The genre is, roughly speaking, music for goddamn hippies. This stuff is cross-posted from my separate music account.

Anyway, sorry for sending you guys to Instagram. If anybody wants to follow me, it'll help me with my terrible insecurity problems.

I'm no musician but I think you can definitely 'come out of the closes as a musician' I'll have to get an instagram account!

Thanks. I'm not sure whether I'm supposed to be chatty in here--probably not. But, briefly, I'm trying to fulfill a long-unkept promise to myself to put my songs where people can hear them. The amount of Someday that I have left seems a lot less expansive than I used to think it was, so instead of planning to do it Someday, I thought maybe I'd do it now. Anyway, thanks for the encouragement, and thanks to anybody who's got time to listen.

I really adore your painting style and the inclusion of time-lapses; the story behind the portraits of your mother adds a lovely bit of background as well. Beautiful work.
