PacTrack: Deobfuscate & Visualize U.S. Political Funding
Political action committees (PACs) obscure which candidates they fund through layers of contributions to intermediary PACs. I built this tool to help untangle those relationship and show how money moves through webs of PACs to political candidates you might not expect.

N.B. The default view is just the top connections for the given cycle. Every federal candidate should be present in the data, to see a specific candidate you just have to use the search inputs.

This is amazing. I'm going to pass it around to my friends that work at think tanks and agencies for better governing.

This is really cool, but I noticed it missed a few names when parsing through the data, for example https://pactrack.us/#/2018/dest/C00002931/ is NATIONAL REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEE CONTRIBUTIONS
