An Impractical Key Cabinet
My first automaton! A clockwork cabinet built mostly for fun and whimsy, but I thought it would be nice to make it slightly practical as well.
I spent a year at Vindelns Folkhogskola, a woodwork/handicrafts/blacksmithing school in northern Sweden. This was my final project, and took about six months on and off, from sketching to designing to prototypes to the final product.

What a cool creation. The video did a good job showing the different parts but it really made me want to be physically in the room with the cabinet so I could inspect all the different details.
I loved the seagulls especially.

Nice movie-making skill, in addition to the design and execution of the piece. I love the cloud with silver 'rain' and, basically, everything about this.
