The Body Parts Project
This is an ongoing participatory art project about body positivity that starts with the question: What's your favorite part of your body? Parts, scars, moles, freckles, warts and all - funny or poignant... what's the part of your body you appreciate most? It might be a part of you that does something you like, or maybe you just like how it looks or feels. [NSFW]
Thanks to the advice in this AskMetafilter thread, I was able to print and display a dozen new portraits at the Firefly festival earlier this month!
I'm still actively soliciting participants. You can participate by submitting a story, a self-portrait, or both, or by requesting a portrait session (for those in the Greater Boston area or areas where I might be traveling).
