Warranty Porn
Warranty Porn is a collecting of super high quality products that come with great warranties. My thesis is that a great warranty is the best product quality indicator there is on the market.
I've more or less stopped working on this but I thought someone might find it useful.

not sure what these warrantys really mean ever since my fisker clippers broke when i was using them to prune some thick bushes and Home Depot and Fisker's refused to replace them.
Here is the Fisker's lifetime warranty:

Their rationale was that i must have been using them improperly so it was not a matter of workmanship. I was just trying to cut thick hydrangea bushes and the middle leverage clip broke.
Warranty's are nothing more than vague promises.

I like this. How come the only two posts on the front page are from August?

"Warranty's are nothing more than vague promises."
Yup, and linking to a wall of warranty fine print still tells me nothing. It's not like I'm going to go over their warranty terms with a fine tooth comb.
Recently, I got some electronics with a 1 year warranty. But then, by random luck, I saw that to take advantage of the warranty, I have to ship the items back in original box and original packaging. That's pretty crazy. Am I really supposed to store my empty boxes and packaging in the closet for a year, just in case?
Another time, I tried to warranty an item and _tried_ to contact the distributor. They were totally unresponsive. I emailed several times, I filled out the online form several times, I left voicemail messages on their website-listed phone number. Crickets. I eventually gave up.
Contrast that to another item I once warrantied. The item was well out of warranty period, but the company said they will take it anyway and they paid shipping both ways. All it took was one phone call.
Summary: without a substantial record of warranty experiences, the actual text on warranty web pages is just meaningless gibberish.
