Lots of plants, lots and lots of plants
I am a gardener. I've been meaning to start blogging about what I do for quite some time. This is a tumblr blog mainly of my own photography of gardens and plants.
I have been working as an intern for the past couple of years at two gardens in NYC. This spring, I will be starting a new job in a garden on a former estate in Yonkers. I hope to continue to post things about nice plants, interesting gardens, as well as my actual work. This is my first real attempt at blogging which I began (back when it was still doing things like snowing) and I find it somewhat terrifying.
As in gardening, there's a moment when you're halfway through planting a large area and you're not sure about how it is going and you have to step back and remember that if all else fails, at least you're planting lots of flowers, and flowers are pretty.
I'm not a fancy photographer. I point and I shoot. So nothing is edited in any way. I know that's not the greatest way to do things, but I'm lazy. I also occasionally shoot into the sun. It maddens people who take photography seriously. I'm sorry.
That said, feel free to tell me what I'm doing wrong. I'm new at this so I don't know what the hell I'm doing and I'm okay with learning stuff.
