Taoish: a place for irreverent spirituality
Spiritual but not pretentious (and occasionally downright funny). Taoish is a website (with printed annual) for manifestations of contemplative inspiration here and now, in the modern west. The article categories are Comedy, Politics, Cultures, Arts, Sports, and Deeper.
Personally, I lean toward Daoism but I'm interested in a wide range of non-dogmatic mysticism, from Sufism to the Little Way of St. Therese to queer, Aztec, artistic and outsider spirituality.
No hushed, ponderous tones, no old men in robes from the exotic ancient East. I'm more interested in Phil Jackson as zen warrior, Nate Silver as a Daoist data scryer, the Tao of Wu and William Burrough's Disciple of DE. I'm very open to new voices; memail me if you have a pointer or something to share.
