Split Decision: a trivia game about decisions, not knowledge
The team I head up just launched an app we've been working on for months. It's called Split Decision: the nonsense vs knowledge game. It's a trivia game where what matters isn’t knowing the answer beforehand, it's choosing right, right now. It’s a nice inversion of what normally matters in quizzes, as the choice mechanic helps get rid of the predestination and futility you can get with Trivial Pursuit et al, and gives the game more pace and fun.

To win points, in Split Decision, players have to choose which of two categories something fits into, such as:

Lasting Pride – Military Operation or Cat Litter?
Breathe on Me – Britney Spears song or Sylvia Plath poem?

It’s based on a card game designed by the writers of mental_floss magazine, but has been entirely rethought and redesigned for iPhone and Android phones.

Phones only so far - I'd love to do it for Nexus 7, probably in the next update :)

Good to hear. I'll just have to play it on my Galaxy Nexus in the meantime. I bought the board game for my parents a while back, but haven't played it yet.
