Reading 33 1/3
I'm reading Continuum's 33 1/3 series, each one of which sees a different writer take on a notable album, and I'm writing a review to go with one volume each week. There's 80 currently released, and so far I've tackled Fleetwood Mac's Tusk by Rob Trucks, Richard and Linda Thompson's Shoot Out the Lights by Hayden Childs, and R.E.M.'s Murmur by J. Niimi.

Awesome! I've only read In the Aeroplane over the Sea and OK Computer, but I love the series.

The author of Aeroplane is also on Metafilter.

I'm a big fan of the Joy Division disc that made this series. This is also why I won't read the book. I don't want them to take away the magic.

goodnewsfortheinsane, I'd no idea she was a MeFite, that's awesome.

cjorgensen, I get you, but music writing is kind of a bonus and not detracting for me. I love that album too, though.
