The National High Five Project
In 2002, I started a fake holiday called National High Five Day. It takes place on the Third Thursday in April (4/21 this year), and for the next 9 years it has continued, and sort of taken on a life of its own. This year, we're determined to (finally) use the day to do some good for other people. Thus, the National High Five Project. We've incorporated as a non-profit charity in California, and are starting a college scholarship. We want to raise money in the spirit of the high-five and the holiday, in order to help send a deserving high school senior to college. That, and encourage as many high fives as possible, of course...
