VuDL: Digital Liberty for Digital Libraries
VuDL is a simple to use Digital Library Administration application powered by all open source technologies.

With VuDL, you get:

* METS metadata editor
* Service image generation tools
* XML database repository
* Built-in OAI server
* Built-in record drivers for easy implementation with VuFind

VuDL is offered for free through the GPL open source license. You can modify the software and share your successes with the community!

And we have a theme song.... and a Facebook fan page...

Most digital library packages today are targeted at either small/specific collections, or very large/very complicated collections. If you use the former as your digital library software, you may not have the functionality to describe your objects properly; if you use the latter, you may have too many options and therefore needless complexity. VuDL is designed to be somewhere in the middle: flexible enough to describe different ranges of objects, while small enough to prevent “choice paralysis.”
