Ia SL Cthulhu ftagn!
Rather than curse the lack of quality literary-based sims in Second Life (*ahemGORcough*), I built a three-sim community based on the H.P. Lovecraft Mythos.
The Miskatonic Valley sims are designed to emulate the New England coastline. Arkham houses the Church of Dagon and Miskatonic University, while Dunwich is the home of the Miskatonic Scientific Annex's archaeological dig and the Dunwich Ruins temple. Kingsport contains Professor Titus's house (open to the public), as well as a temple that doesn't look as deserted as it ought...
Pictures taken by residents:
Miskatonic Valley
Arkham
Dunwich
Kingsport
Activities to come will be readings and discussions of the Mythos at Miskatonic University, as well as roleplaying and building contests. If you drop into SL and would like a tour, IM Ceres Eilde or Candace Bethune.
