As a followup to my Ask Mefi Question: I've commenced a semester-long independent study on Jeanne d'Arc (Joan of Arc) whilst I spend a year in France. After reading biographies, contemporary views, and visiting relevant locations all around France, I will write an academic paper about an aspect of Jeanne's life.
