I dunno -- I totally think it's a project. It's just that the project is his web design business which might not be unusual enough to get a lot of votes :)

That said, from one designer to another: you should definitely consider using lossless images of your portfolio work, because pixely stuff is always an ugly way to display.

I find it odd that the only way to contact you is via phone. I would recommend listing an email address at the very least, as well as links to networking sites (twitter, facebook, etc).

Also, the copyeditor in me cringes at the first sentence. I'd rewrite it as "...designer based in Boulder, Colorado." The "who's" is unnecessary and distracting.

Anyway, I like the simplicity of the design.

I like his letter to the president, especially the line about "9/11 being a tough decision to make." Maybe he knows something we don't.
