Biznik: business networking that doesn't suck
Biznik is a social network for independent, progressive people who don't fit into or maybe don't feel comfortable with traditional business networking (check out our about page and manifesto). It was started in Seattle about a year and some ago, and we've just launched a new site that is localizable to whatever city you happen to be in. Our core values are collaboration over competition, and building relationships over the impersonal referrals of traditional business networking groups. Most of our members are freelancers, small business people, and less traditional non-mba types. The project was a huge undertaking, and we just launched a day ago after a lot of work. But take a look and please let me know what you think!
