Diptychs From America
A short project featuing diptychs from a month long trip starting in Las Vegas, to Seattle, then down to Los Angeles.

Eleven years ago I shot a little project while on a short road trip through the Pacific Northwest. I thought I'd never revisit this part of the world.

This summer I did it again, allbeit with a different (better?) eye and a different camera.

I enjoyed looking at your work. Are the Shinjuku photos all reflections or multiple exposures?

Thanks! The Shinjuku photos are multiple exposures done in camera, sometimes up to 5 shots on a single frame.

I'm coming back to your post waay late but I really enjoy your American Diptych, esp. the Chihuly one, also the Eiffel Tower one - my first sensation of the image is Richard Serra - I think from the fountain curtain arcross foot of photo.

“Room without a view” is an interesting idea.

Thanks! There's perhaps a larger edit here, as I shot approx 25 rolls of film and about 500 digital photos, but likely I'll leave as is. Chihuly was a highlight for sure.

I now have about 11 years worth of photos from this, maybe 200 images, and I should probably start putting together an edit and sequence and thinking how to present it.
