Star Trek episode, Dave Eggers book, or Mountain Goats song?
As I recently noted on FanFare, I started making this thoroughly silly quiz years ago, and only remembered it recently. So I finished it and published it on Buzzfeed's community site. There's no real joke except that all three of these things tend to have delightfully overwrought titles.

24/30. I flubbed one mountain goats song that I should have gotten, and you cheated by including one from the new album, which I also missed. I did pretty well with Star Trek, but I only knew Eggers by process of elimination.

22/30. I was actually miffed that I didn't get 100% on the Star Trek (it was the most prosaic of the Trek titles that I missed), but I figured I'd do little better than 50/50 on Eggers vs. Mountain Goats, since I really don't know either of them.
BTW, I agree with you on a certain DS9 episode being vastly underrated. It's one of my favorites.

17/30, which I'm honestly pretty pleased with, since I knew the title of one Dave Eggers book that wasn't on there. I missed two Mountain Goats songs, the one from the new album and one that the Mountain Goats Wiki tells me was performed literally once in 2008 and which I do not feel bad about missing at all.

16/30. I expected to get 8/10 Trek right and then random chance on the other 20, or a score of 18. Delighted I did worse than that. At least it was better than 10/30.
I love you shopped this on Fanfare and then took it to Buzzfeed. May you get many pennies in clickbait ad revenue!

I'm so annoyed at how bad I am at this but I still love the quiz.

I’m worse at this than I thought I’d be, but I couldn’t get through the one Eggers book I tried to read.

I only just realized that two of the Trek titles in this quiz, along with one not included here ("The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry") are, approximately, in iambic pentameter. At least close enough they would be a not-out-of-place variation within a work of iambic pentameter. Two of the other Trek titles in the quiz are Shakespeare quotes, but less than a full line.

19/30! That's exactly as it should be.

23/30! I only know Eggers and the Mountain Goats, alas, but that was helpful. Fun quiz, duffell!
