Anon - An Anonymous Photo Journal
What would you share if no one knew it was you? Anon is a simple app where anyone can anonymously share a photo and a message for the world to see.

I hope Anon becomes a place where people can share moments with true feeling, without fear of being judged by others. I hope to foster an open, supportive community that grows slowly over time.

(Due to the potential for abuse, there's a flagging and moderation system in place to remove posts that aren't in the spirit of the app.)

Comments and feedback greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I like the idea, it's potentially a bit less dreary than postsecret.com

my one problem with projects like these is that they tend to be data collection and appropriation machines that get turned into coffee table books that benefit only the curator.

My work has been published in several of these books without credit only to be stolen by other people and dumped onto tumblr etc...

Anon is about creating an environment for people to be authentic and make connections with each other. It isn't about selling user's content at all. I'm sorry about your experience sharing your work with other projects. Thanks for the comment!

I like it

A couple of comments:

It would be great to have a way to move from image to image (I might have missed it, but right now, after viewing one image, I have to go back to the grid to view the next one - which make browsing a bit awkward)

It would be good to have a short document describing/explaining how you guarantee anonymity: for example, are you on the server side able to de-anonimyze users ?

Congrats for shipping, the app looks great.

You/your users should assume that photos taken from a phone carry stenographic fingerprints, identifying the device and the context of the photo (printers have done this for a while).

I downloaded it, had fun browsing, submitted a picture, then realized that from my app one can see which submissions were mine. Not a fan of that. But it looks pretty.
