A bored hot dog vendor turns amateur PI when she stumbles onto an enormous conspiracy and must use all her wits to solve the case.
Set on the streets of downtown Toronto, this grimy, comedic film-noir mystery sets classic spy film tropes against the awkward reality of George’s inexpert detective work. Every dot George connects takes her higher up the food chain… street kids connect to an online hacker community which leads to bankers, to City Hall, and eventually all the way to CSIS. Each episode will see George trying her best to solve the puzzle. Often stumbling onto the next clue purely by accident, she unravels a case that would make a real detective’s entire career. This teaser is part of an application for funding to make a 12-episode season. Funding is awarded based on project quality, as well as social media buzz.
