A photo layout algorithm side project made into an app! Works best with Instagram currently. Would love any feedback you might have. Here's an example collage.

I like it. Are more controls possible? What I'd like to see with something like this is to be able to filter the images used by tags, so you could create a set of related images.

Yes, it's all random right now but more controls will be added. What kind of controls would be most valuable for you?

I guess I'd be looking at doing it for my own images, but that's just me.

Other controls that spring to mind would be things like limiting the maximum or minimum size of the individual images in the layout, or filtering by date and location. If you did this with public images, you could, for example, create a layout that gives you a snapshot of a selection of your contacts' photos for that day, or a mix of images from a particular city or place.
