Lovely! How long did you work at each session? posted by theplotchickens at 5:22 PM on April 25, 2012
Thank you :) Anything from an hour to 8 hours. posted by revikim at 11:10 PM on April 25, 2012
That turned out beautiful. I've seen your work before somewhere, was it posted on Mefi before or did I find it in some other corner of the internet? posted by empyrean at 1:58 AM on April 26, 2012

Ah! I don't know if i'm going to sell the original (it got a little bit damaged -stupid paper- transporting back from scanning it), but there will be prints probably. posted by revikim at 8:28 AM on April 26, 2012

Beautiful! Was it all freehand, or did you use some kind of guide? It's remarkably precise. Did you listen to music while drawing? Podcasts? Books on tape? I ask because 143 hours is a long time to spend between a person and a piece of paper.
I think you should consider adapting it to a t-shirt and submit it to Threadless or something. posted by Salvor Hardin at 9:27 PM on April 26, 2012
Wow. You are phenomenally talented.
And I would totally buy a shirt with this on it. posted by dotgirl at 10:21 PM on April 26, 2012
:))
I may have watched the whole of the Office and listened to a lot of music. But that's what i do anyway.
(Am thinking of trying a straight 24-hour drawing next.)
And i do it all freehand - whenever i use a pencil, everything gets messy and the paper is grey in the end. Not worth it. posted by revikim at 2:12 AM on April 27, 2012
