Holding Hands Project
This project is designed to digitally bring people closer to one another by capturing on film the moment when two strangers hold hands. Regardless of race, age, class, whatever.

Physically going out into the real world to join hands with strangers and capture those moments here. So much of our socializing is done digitally, this project is to bring people together physically and demonstrate those events digitally. Go out. Take photos of yourself holding hands with a stranger - and post it on the site, describe it to us. This project was inspired by the work of Miranda July.

A neat project. Obviously needs more content.

I'm one of those touch freaks though, so the idea of holding hands with a stranger weirds me out. I used to hate having to hold hands in church and I still hate shaking someone's had. I have to isolate that hand until I can get it washed (won't touch my face, hold my phone with it, eat, etc.). I find this project both touching and extremely uncomfortable.

I'd hold hands with Miranda July though, but only for a minute.
