Rapper's Delight - Performed by Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant
Just in time for the song's 40th anniversary, I edited together the voices of Siri, Alexa & Google Assistant to make their first ever rap collaboration, a cover of the hip-hop classic, Rapper’s Delight. Yes, this is the kind of thing TV editors do when they're unemployed.
Hurt (NIN Fat Angus cover)
In the spirit of #keepmefiweird, an old cover I did of Nine Inch Nails' Hurt, guest starring an Amiga 500 (well, WinUAE, as I couldn't get my own running) on vocals.
Why? Considering the tone of the song, I decided to go the exact opposite direction of Johnny Cash. It's a machine almost doing an almost Shatneresque take on a painful, regretful song.
(Also: you see that spike at the end? It's loud. You've been warned)
Sauna Sounds Cover Album
Hey MetaFilter, I have put together an 'album' of short covers I recorded between 2009 and 2011. Most of them I have posted to Music MetaFilter in the past, but I thought it would be fun to wrap them together a bit and hopefully it will inspire me to record more again. Turn all book covers into wallpapers
For the last two weeks I have been creating desktop wallpapers based on book covers. The idea was sparked by a very old reddit post where one user asked why there weren't any high resolution images of book covers. I saw that and figured, "Why not high resolution, wallpaper ready versions of book covers?" And since they didn't exist, I started to make them. [more inside]
