We used to have an LCD clock radio that glowed various rainbow colors. I "voted it off the island," so to speak, because it seemed like clock radio was a waste of space in the age of clocks-on-everything, but we missed spacing out while looking at it, so I put together this web substitute. I made this for myself when flirting with the prospect of writing last autumn, but I felt compelled to clean it up and share it with the world for this year's contest. Starting November 1, it's going to start counting up from zero to 50,000, which will be reached at midnight on the 1st of December. It was designed as a tool to inspire, but I think the actual effect might be more troubling. I guess that depends whether you're on pace or behind.

I'm writing a new watch face every day for a month to try some more creative programming ideas on the inPulse wrist-watch. So far I've completed 21 days and am working on clock number twenty two this morning. [more inside]
